Modern homes in Sweden
Recently during a sunny walk in Sweden I took pix of some of the many modern houses I saw on my way. They are all in an exclusive beach town, within walking distance of the beach, and they are all quite good size with stucco walls, lots of wood, and big windows. Interesting details like hidden courtyards, grass growing on outside roofs, and the open brick chimney going through the house were some things I noticed.(Hopefully you can see them too.) I really enjoyed the walk and would love a peak inside the houses someday. And of course on the beach...
...were many of my favorite little "houses" - the bad hytt in many colors -- that people change in before a dip.
There are several breaking stories in my homeland, and my friends are involved in both! First there is a massive movement to let young refugees without papers stay in Sweden. Due to the molasses-like movement of the state many children have been there for so many years that they have learned the Swedish language and assimilated into the country. Now, they are being forcibly removed and sent to war torn countries like Afghanistan. Would YOU want to go if you were them? Hell no! One of my friends is part of the effort in Stockholm to stop that from happening and others across the country are trying to find homes for them. Wish I was there to help. I have been following it and I'm impressed by the group's commitment and PR savvy. Just doing my best to help from here by spreading the news. #låtdeungastanna. facebook: https://www.facebook.com/vistarinteut/

Closing results: Salvador Sobral from Portugal won with "Amar pelos dois", Bulgaria came in second and Moldovia came in third. Sweden was 5th place. I think personally that there was a voters back-lash against the heavily produced dance songs. Portugal's song was a very laid-back, Bossa-Nova inspired and emotional piece. In his acceptance speech Sobral said: “We live in a world of disposable music; fast food music without any content. I think this could be a victory for music with people who make music that actually means something,” he announced. Hmm, sore loser? Robin Bengtsson thought so saying “Congrats on your victory, I really like your song and the way you sing it, but I think your speech after winning the ESC was below the level of a true winner. ‘Fast food’ pop music can be the best thing in the world at the right place and time, so can a song beautiful as yours. There is room for everyone.“ Oh, strong words from a Swede! ;)

There was a love manifestation today in Stockholm with tens of thousands of people, and at 2;53 pm they held a silent minute. How strange that right around that time I was thinking of John Lennon's song "Imagine" and that message it portrays of loving and not hating. Look at this picture. People gave flowers to the police, and everyone held in their hearts a feeling of love towards one another and the four deceased who were killed on Friday by the deranged truck driver. I can imagine that it was very powerful to be there, just like the song. 💗
Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people living life in peace, you
You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope some day you'll join us And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions I wonder if …
