Good news from the Local, a Swedish publication, for those of you - like me - who want a night binging on dill chips and Tuborg in-front of the tube watching "Mello". Staurday is the night that the the Swedish entrances to Eurovision duke it out. It's called "Melodifestivalen" (or Mello) and it will be broadcast on 3/13 at 8PM Swedish time. I think some of you may want to get that VPN now, if you live in the States and can't watch Swedish TV. :) From the Local -
The competition that selects Sweden's Eurovision Song Contest contender – Melodifestivalen – will get English commentary this year, to the expected excitement of non-Swedish speaking fans around the globe.
“Words cannot describe just how excited we are to be bringing Melodifestivalen to the many non-Swedish speaking fans out there,” said journalists Bella Qvist and Olivia Le Poidevin, who will be in charge of the English commentary, in a statement on Twitter.
“It will be an absolute dream come true to welcome and guide our big international Eurovision family to Melodifestivalen, this beacon of love and light in the darkest of times. This is exactly what we all need after the year that we have had.” The show will be broadcast on SVT 1 at 8pm on March 13th. It can also be found on SVT Play – here’s a link to the English commentary and here’s the Swedish version.
- Meet the international fans crazy for Melodifestivalen (thanks the Local, suprised I'm not on the list) ;)
